My Why
It’s everything. Not just to me, but the “why” is the reason you do anything, and more importantly it’s what keeps you at it when you want to quit. Being clear on your “why” will get you over the hump, and onto success (however you define it) that feels aligned with who you are. Serve that up!
Anxious Much?
Is it me, or is everyone talking about anxiety? I realize as a life coach that’s kinda my wheelhouse, but it’s everywhere.
Sabotage, What Could Go Wrong?
Sabotage is a really loaded word. For me it has arrows and barbs. I associate it with an organized plan to upset or undermine something or someone. Never a good thing that’s for sure.
Watch Your Thoughts
Let me walk you through a scenario, get comfy! (names have been changed to protect the innocent.)
Ingredients for a Good Rebound
When I was teaching I used to marvel at students that were just bulletproof. Nothing rocked them. The thought of becoming upset over something didn’t even enter their consciousness, (sadly even not doing their homework!) When do the children start to deviate from that innate confidence?
Decisions? Make ‘em!
Be honest, did you ever yell “make good decisions” out the window of the car as your child walked into a dance, or school or some social thing? Really? Just me then?
The Promises We Keep
I know you. You show up for others. You’d never purposely flake on a friend. So why don’t you rate the same attention from yourself? Not worthy? At the back of the line? Too exhausted? No one will notice?
The Results You Want
I read the other day that the three basic fundamental emotional needs for humans are:
To be seen
To be heard
To be celebrated
The Best Parts of Me
Ever consider the best part of you? Now, don’t lets get carried away here, I don’t mean your belongings, family, physical attributes, home or work accomplishments. I refer to what makes you like no other, your essence, your character.
A Little Rain Must Fall
I try not to be disappointed. Do you? Disappointment is hard for me. Mostly because I really do want the best for everyone in my life & my clients too. That includes myself. AND I used to see it as a shortcoming.
Clear as Mud
Clarity. It can be an elusive creature am I right?
Why is that? I have some thoughts (I heard that!)
I have a theory mostly because it’s what happened to me, maybe you too?
In The Trenches
I am very appreciative to you for being a part of this tribe. Because you read this column, share it, and often send me your comments, I understand that, like me, you are interested in ideas that can make your life more full, while avoiding some of the “trenches” along the way.
A Taste of Freedom
“One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things.” Charlie Mackesy The Boy the Mole, the Fox and the Horse.
Rescue 911
I’ve been learning about Instagram these past few weeks. Posts, reels, stories and ads. I am WAY out of my comfort zone there. I’m pretty sure I’m terrible at it! You probably know I have an on-line coaching practice, and as such I am on-line connecting with clients and potential clients that have an issue in their life they’d like some help with. I love my job!
Gather Your Direction
What does it take to claim the life you’ve always wanted? I’ll give you a hint, it doesn’t happen by accident. Nope.
Just Getting By?
“How ya getting by these days?” When people extend that greeting, I’m guessing they are wanting to connect, but it’s a terrible question.
Empowering Thoughts For You!
I just love this photo. I see us here. I’m the big one, and you guys are the littles, cared for, happy and curious. A sweet visual.
Mother’s Day, For Mom
The older I get the more I realize that I hit the jackpot with my momma. She passed away 12 years ago. Miss her.
Father’s Day, For Dad
Wishing all the Fathers a happy one. But it’s not a “Hallmark moment” for everyone. Just as in every relationship we experience in our lifetime, sometimes the Father’s can be challenging.
