You Can Quote Me!
This month we talk of inspiration. Where do you go for inspiration.? A wise friend, mentor, prayer, spouse, poetry, or sunrise? A grandparent if you’re lucky enough to still have them? Maybe that great aisle in the bookstore? You know the one I am talking about; it has all the titles that speak to you.
The New Year always brings that familiar mantra about resolutions blah, blah, blah (true confessions: I’m not a big one for resolutions, they bug me.) I much prefer simple inspiration. To that end, I keep a growing list of quotes that I’ve discovered along the way.
In this New Year I invite you to gather the quotes that speak to you. They echo for a reason, don’t underestimate why. Collect them like treasures, those words are a gift. Keep them in a special place. Review your collection every now and then. Just reading a sentence can bolster you, melt you, inform you, and yes inspire you.
Here are some of the quotes that I have in my collection. Maybe they sing your name too?
“You can’t change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”- C.S. Lewis
“Laughter is carbonated holiness.” - Anne Lamott
“It’s often in the darkest skies we see the brightest stars”- Richard Evans
“I’ll never know if people are doing their best or not, but when I assume that they are, it makes my life better.” - Brene Brown
Inspired thoughts lead to inspired emotions and behavior. What do you have to believe to have your best year? It’s right here for you in 2022. The sky is the limit.
What’s your favorite quote? Message me and share it!
Grateful for you,
Anne
