Why You Need Vision
I changed it up a bit two weeks ago, and many of you liked it, so today here are three more quotes, some thoughts and another question. The theme today is future thinking, which is the bedrock of PURPOSE…. And you KNOW I love Purpose!
Quote #1:
“Why bother? Because right now, there is someone out there with a wound that is in the exact shape of your words.” -Sean Thomas Dougherty
Some Thoughts:
You never know when you will be in a place, where someone needs a trusted guide. From that place, which your experience has prepared you for, you offer a glimpse of hope, and in doing so, make a necessary connection and you make a difference. So that’s why bother!
Quote #2:
“Jealousy is just a wish in disguise.” -Unknown.
Some thoughts:
How often have you had a tinge of…..
“Ooh I wish I had that.”
“I should've done that.”
“They don't deserve that.”
…and then feel badly about those thoughts? What if they were just a wish in disguise? And what’s wrong with a wish? Nothing wrong in wanting more for yourself and others. Creating a bigger future expands your present. So go ahead and want those things, plan for them, write them into your future and go about creating them now. You can have them! I am proof of that!!!
Quote #3:
'If you argue for your limitations you get to keep them. But if you argue for your possibilities you get to create them!’ -Kelly Lee Phipps
Some thoughts:
Kind of a cousin to quote #2. We used to call that making excuses, am I right? Taking your focus off the now, and bringing your vision up to what’s possible is a FUN exercise. Do it!
Somewhere along the way, we forgot to dream. We got busy, (we argued for our limitations) and remained in a pattern that provided comfort and security. Nothing wrong with that, but it won't get you where you are going.
Question:
Argue for your possibilities. Ask yourself “What do I want for myself?” (oh, and that answer about the happiness of others, blah blah blah is nice, but it doesn’t answer the question does it?
What do YOU want for YOU? It’s an important question, and I can help you answer it.
More importantly, I can help you achieve it.
Here’s how to get started:
If you would like to “try” coaching, I have a way for you to experience the process, three private sessions for $300. That’s it. Dip your toe in the water and see if it’s for you. Bring your concerns, your hopes, your beautiful and messy self, and we’ll get going!
Book a call here, and give yourself the answer to that little voice that says, “this could be good for me.” That voice is right, and it knows you. Listen to it.
