Your One Game Changer
It’s difficult to watch our friends and loved ones struggle. Heck it’s hard to be the one struggling right?
I ran across a helpful idea. Try this on: in life we are either winning or learning. So, that struggle bus we all occasionally ride is an educational vehicle? That casts a different shade on events and kinda of takes the sting out of it, but not entirely, and that’s ok.
You know I like to talk about the struggle. Do you know why? Because I LOVE the rebound! More importantly I love the person you become in the rebound! Stronger, calmer, more sure, focused, more selective, grateful, patient, at peace and definitely wiser.
It doesn’t come easy and I realize that. Change needs to happen. Ouch! So many are entrenched in their habits (either physical or emotional) and, unless the house is on fire, they keep on the same path, a default mode. The concern is, if change (or growth) happens, it'll threaten the copacetic way they have things set up in current personal relationships, family, work, community (fill in the blank.)
Sooooo, after continually hitting their head against the wall, they wonder why they haven’t made the progress they long for? Still procrastinating, stuck, haven't lost the weight, started the business, wrestling with doubt, over-drinking, self-confidence, purpose, worthiness, boredom. After all, they’ve listened to all the podcasts, read Atomic Habits, watched a free Youtube mastermind class?
Where am I going with all of this? Here's that Game Changer. You must turn awareness into practice. And what happens? First, you lose the shame and judgment, they are heavy, unnecessary and have been holding you back. Most likely they are coming from a place that is no longer true for you. When those emotions appear, I like to ask,”whose voice are you hearing?” KAPOW!
In coaching we spend time discovering the attitudes and thinking that have become limiting and keeping you stuck. We tenderly unpack them and pivot to a nuanced and helpful way forward. But the transformations occur only when knowledge is followed by practice. It’s not enough just to know the jargon. After all, you cannot become physically fit just by reading fitness magazines (no matter how amazing the cover photo) you must lift the heavy weights. You need to be in the arena.
"There comes a point in life when you realize turning the page is the best feeling in the world because there's so much more to the book than the page you were stuck on.”--Idillionaire
I have a process that's very effective. We begin where we are, (Island A) then identify the desired destination (Island B). In between is a Sea of Discovery (sometimes called the River of Misery!) I will “build the boat” and be with clients during the journey, but THEY do all the rowing. That’s where the magic happens. Growing the resilience muscle, heading toward things like:
Clarity
Living with purpose
Rewarding and close relationships
Resilience
Balance
Forgiveness
Direction
Connection
Alignment
Acceptance
And from the bottom of my heart I tell you this is all possible!
Ask:
What is it you’d like to let go of?
What is missing?
A year from now, what will we be celebrating?
Join me? Put your toe in the “coaching” water. I am opening (5) spots on my calendar offering an introductory way for you to sample the benefits of coaching.
Three 50-minute private coaching sessions via Zoom for $300 total.
In that time I will show you the coaching process and give you actionable strategies and skills to practice so you can begin your movement toward your Island B! You will use these techniques in many aspects going forward. The next step: click the link below and schedule a time to meet via Zoom. When the spots fill up, there are gone.
What will we be celebrating this time next year???
I just love that question!🥰
